"This mother was quiet protective of her calf and was keen to position herself between the camera and her infant. These Elephants have grazed in this region of the Northern Serengeti for millennia.The forehead of a male elephant is a rounded shape whereas the female’s forehead is much more angled, almost looks square as we can see in this photo".

About the artwork

"For this artwork I did an illustration with coloured pens and merged it with watercolours to achieve this effect - simple and conceptual, with inspiration from primitive art, I created and designed the flowers in a completely abstract and free way, so that I got drawings with enough personality to represent my 'Naive Garden'".

Oriental Patchwork - is a collage made out of various traditional Japanese and Chinese kimono patterns. On one hand, it references the diversity and richness of their designs, and on the other hand, it references the concept of zero waste fashion, as new creations can be made with leftover fabrics, by using the patchwork technique.
