The story behind the artwork

Inspired by visiting birds to my property in the hills of Perth W.A. The bird life is abundant with many visits from pink and grey Galahs, red tail and white galahs, magpies, Willie Wagtails and many more. Artwork is a mixed media exploration of birds and the beautiful flowers and plants that surround me.

About the artist

Mixed Media Artist that lives in the hills of Perth W.A. My art is inspired from my immediate environment and nature as a whole. I am visually stimulated by the natural beauty of the land, plants, natives, botanicals, and the landscape.

The story behind the artwork

My artwork reminded me of different textural celestial patterns combined together in a collage. Flowing waves and sharp geometric shapes that spread across the surface, creating a sense of movement and structure. The colour palette is rich with deep blues and vibrant yellows, blending like light and shadow in motion. Across the piece, small golden, textured star patterns are scattered, adding a shimmering effect that catches the eye.

About the artist

I’m a graphic designer and architect. My combined studies of art, architecture, and history have motivated me to travel the world in search of inspiration. I describe myself as a passionate treasure hunter, constantly digging through the visual spectrum for my next great find. I finished my Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in Bucharest and I’m currently living in Birmingham, UK.

Bright, sunlight-filled mornings at the breakfast table are among my favourite times. Surrounded by carefully chosen flowers and art books to wander through, I sit quietly with my morning tea. These simple rituals feel grounding and inspiring, a gentle pause before the day begins, where light, colour, and creativity softly set the tone for everything that follows.

About the artist

After growing up in Broken Hill and living in Adelaide and Sydney, I traveled to Europe, fell in love with Italy and made Florence the base for my textile-design business. In the 22 years since, I have produced fabric designs for high-end fashion labels such as Blumarine, Etro, Roberto Cavalli and Enrico Coveri. I have also participated in numerous art exhibitions. I am passionate about art.
