This wool blend scarf was designed by Australian artist Bill O’Shea.
William (Bill) O’shea’s art imme-diately struck a responsive chord with his distinctive depictions of the Australia that we all recognise and hold precious. In 1980 Bill was lured away from Sydney to stage an exhibition in Stuart Town. The Central West loved Bill’s work and why not - as Bill says “I paint what i see - i don’t try to improve on nature”! Bill has achieved world wide acclaim with exhibitions in Rhode Island (NY) and most major art centers in Australia.

About the artwork
"The Long Paddock” is a classic Australian landscape showing a drover with his cattle dog working hard to get his cattle to better grazing pasture in the dry season. The colour of the soil is the famous rusty red that hints at the ancient nature of the land. The Hills in the background show the way the Australian light and Eucalyptus trees tint the air blue."
