Romanian artist Theodor Suhan's Celestial Waves, flowing waves of deep blue, gold and sand scattered with textured stars, printed on a smooth mulberry silk pillowcase, bringing gallery-worthy art to the bedroom.

The story behind the artwork

My artwork reminded me of different textural celestial patterns combined together in a collage. Flowing waves and sharp geometric shapes that spread across the surface, creating a sense of movement and structure. The colour palette is rich with deep blues and vibrant yellows, blending like light and shadow in motion. Across the piece, small golden, textured star patterns are scattered, adding a shimmering effect that catches the eye.

Italian artist Oana Soare's Seasons in Japan, a Japanese-inspired collage of birds, fruit and flowing ink, printed on a smooth mulberry silk pillowcase, bringing gallery-worthy art to the bedroom.

The story behind the artwork

Seasons in Japan is a collage that blends loose, flowing ink with Japanese-inspired illustrations of fruits and birds. Soft, expressive marks contrast with carefully outlined block-print-style landscapes, creating a balance between spontaneity and structure. Birds such as cranes, owls, and sparrows appear throughout the piece, moving gently between scenes. The composition feels layered and seasonal, capturing quiet moments of nature while reflecting the changing rhythms of the year.

About the artist

I’m a visual artist who’s constantly snooping around for creative and original manifestations in design, and looking to connect with the minds that formed them. I also have a passion for classic finishing touches in paintings, ravishing fields of vision in photography and almost unthinkable structures in architecture - they are source of inspiration & I just can’t keep away!

In this painting I wanted to highlight the soft stillness of where the ocean meets the coastline early in the morning. Gentle light drifts across the water, creating a sense of calm, reflection, and quiet connection to nature’s rhythm.

Australian artist Analise Hughes's Echoes of Creation, sweeping abstract brushstrokes in deep blues, warm terracottas and luminous creams, inspired by the Sistine Chapel, printed on a smooth mulberry silk pillowcase, bringing gallery-worthy art to the bedroom.

The story behind the artwork

This abstract acrylic painting draws inspiration from the grandeur and symbolism of the Sistine Chapel, reimagined through colour, movement, and fragmented form. Sweeping gestures and layered tones of deep blues, warm terracottas, and luminous creams evoke the illusion of a vast, celestial space. Rather than depicting figures, the work captures a sense of divine energy and human connection through intersecting shapes and flowing lines. The composition suggests moments of tension and harmony, inviting the viewer to interpret their own meaning within a contemporary, expressive reinterpretation of a historical masterpiece.

About the artist

Analise Hughes is a predominantly figurative painter based in Sydney Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts. Her works draw influence from expressionism and artists such as Alberto Giaccometti, Francis Bacon and the ever changing emotional experience of the human condition.
