The story behind the artwork
I love being in the bush. It’s my sanctuary. The smell of the eucalyptus flowers makes me feel peaceful and alive. I feel privileged to be part of this beautiful country and my art will always express this.
About the artist
Edwinea is a proud First Nations Artist based in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Active in local community and mother of 10, Edwinea recently reconnected with family separated through Stolen Generations, the Kungen Olkol clan in Northern Queensland. Her strong faith and connection to country is reflected in her beautiful works, including Gumnuts.
