The story behind the artwork
Painting any sort of Banksia is always a joy for me. I love them and their beautiful leaves. Sometimes the pleasure in doing a painting is in choosing the colour combinations and working out the whole tablescape around the colours. This is definitely one of those times.
About the artist
After growing up in Broken Hill and living in Adelaide and Sydney, I traveled to Europe, fell in love with Italy and made Florence the base for my textile-design business. In the 22 years since, I have produced fabric designs for high-end fashion labels such as Blumarine, Etro, Roberto Cavalli and Enrico Coveri. I have also participated in numerous art exhibitions. I am passionate about art.
