Australian artist Trevor Purvis's The Source, an expressive view of the Noosa River in Cooloola National Park, full of rich Australian colour, printed on a cosy, beautifully soft Australian merino wool scarf.
The story behind the artwork
Noosa River on Cooloola. This canvas is 120 x 102cm painted in acrylics and oils. It is inspired by an expedition into the Cooloola National Park on the Noosa North Shore. The painting depicts the joy of discovery combined with my love of Australian colour and movement in a painting.
About the artist
Trevor is an award-winning artist who believes that the Australian countryside is a never ending source of creative inspiration. He travels the enormous extremes of deserts and beaches searching for those moments of wonderment. The subtle variations of colour and topography are always very different to anywhere else in the world and well worth the observation and exploration. He now paints full time at his Maluti studio in Cooroy surrounded by the verdant Noosa Hinterland in Queensland.
