Australian artist Juanita Van den Bergh's The System, floating circular forms and transparent layers in a quiet, atmospheric space, printed on a smooth mulberry silk pillowcase, bringing gallery-worthy art to the bedroom.
The story behind the artwork
The System explores the interconnected structures that shape our lives, both visible and unseen. Through textured surfaces, transparent layers and floating circular forms, the work suggests networks, relationships and recurring patterns suspended within a quiet atmospheric space. Balancing order with fluidity, it reflects the complexity of human connection and the subtle forces that bind individual elements into a greater whole.
About the artist
I am a mixed media abstract painter that explores how paint density, colour and weight interacts to create a beautiful aesthetic… simply put I am a creative chemist of the science of colour. My layering techniques reveal transparent glimpses of both texture, form and colour in bold contrast to the liquidity and flow of the remaining work… My art pieces offer the viewer an opportunity to admire from a distance or lose themselves in a dimensional conundrum of colour and depth.
